Julie Leavitt, CCPC

Julie Leavitt is the Founder of Atlanta Conscious Parenting, LLC, an Atlanta-based parent coaching practice that teaches and applies the Conscious Parenting philosophy of Dr. Shefali Tsabary. Julie was the first parenting coach in Atlanta certified by Dr. Shefali’s Conscious Parenting Institute.

Julie parented unconsciously for years before discovering Conscious Parenting in 2015. Before waking up, Julie would parent out of fear and control, just as her parents and culture had told her to, resulting in disconnected and anxiety-based relationships with her kids. Since becoming a Conscious Parent, Julie has recaptured her own authenticity, using Shefali’s teachings to reach a higher understanding of patience, presence, and joy. Conscious Parenting, combined with a regular meditation practice, has strengthened Julie’s relationship with herself and her kids, and reminded her how to love wholly, in the present moment, full of gratitude.

Julie is originally from Birmingham, Alabama and moved to Atlanta in 2017. She has experience in every aspect of parenting as a true to life Brady Bunch mom of 4 daughters, 2 sons, and a Labradoodle. During the few moments she isn’t parenting, she’s either hiking along the Chattahoochee River, sweating through a Barre class, or spreading the message of Conscious Parenting to friends and parent groups with hopes of awakening stressed-out parents to a better way, one family at a time.

Jessica Kraitzick, CCPC, M.Ed.

Jessica has been part of the educational arena since 1998. She taught children ages 5-14 for 12 years and, while starting her family, earned her Masters in Education with a Specialist Degree in Reading. After staying home for a number of years with her three children, Jessica returned to her passion and started an Educational Consulting practice. It was eye-opening for her to see so many parents who had concerns that weren’t education-related. Parents had expectations of their child that were unfounded, and Jessica realized that these parents didn’t need a different school or an IEP, they needed a way to connect and understand their children and themselves.

Jessica longs to help other parents with their parenting struggles and loves discussing different techniques and strategies. Believing that children come to us complete and parents either help the child blossom or shrivel, Jessica wants to help every parent understand how to help their child blossom. Once she started listening to Shefali, founder of the Conscious Parenting Institute, she knew she had found a kindred spirit with a gift for explaining the traps that we all fall into.

Jessica lives in Atlanta with her husband, their three kids - whom she is constantly learning from - and two miniature Pinchers. She and her family love the outdoors, particularly hiking, skiing, rock-climbing, biking, and boating. Jessica loves to get out into nature and re-connect with her family. When she is not talking about Conscious Parenting, she is either walking her dogs, cooking, needle-pointing, or doing yoga.
